CONTRACT: Part-Time (15 – 20 hours weekly)

Our social media presence is central to that mission, and we’re looking for a passionate individual to help bring our stories and values to life online.
JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a part-time creative, hands-on Social Media Creator to develop and manage content primarily for JRoots, with some involvement in other Jewish Futures organisations. This is an exciting role for someone who thrives on creating content that resonates with Jewish audiences and understands how to build and maintain an active online community.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for creating visually engaging content, managing social media accounts, and interacting with followers to grow our online community. The role requires someone who’s in touch with social media trends and excited about creating authentic Jewish content that inspires, educates and engages.
MAIN DUTIES
Content Creation & Posting: Develop and post high-quality social media content for JRoots and other Jewish Futures organisations, using Canva and tools for video content creation (such as Instagram Reels and TikTok). This includes a mix of static posts, stories, short-form videos, and engaging Reels.
Social Media Management: Manage Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube accounts, ensuring they stay active and relevant.
Audience Engagement: Respond to comments, engage with followers, and be present on stories to foster community interaction.
Content Planning: Create and manage content calendars, ensuring a consistent posting schedule.
Campaign Strategy: Help develop social media marketing and fundraising campaigns, creating timelines and scheduling in collaboration with other creative team members.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on social media performance, using insights to adapt and improve strategies.
Trend Watching: Stay up to date with social media trends and incorporate them into our content strategy.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with Canva/Adobe Suite, and Instagram & TikTok Reels
Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail
Excellent project and time management skills
Experience managing and growing social media accounts
Understanding of social media platform-specific content best practices
Proactive, self-motivated, and creative thinker
Interest in researching and implementing social media growth strategies
A passion for creating Jewish content and familiarity with Jewish culture and values is essential
