Job Title: Mid-weight Graphic Designer

Reports To: GIFT Programme Director

Contract: Part-Time for 25 hrs per week 

Location: GIFT offices in Hendon

Salary: £33,000-£36,000 Full time equivalent

Scope:

We are looking for a mid-weight designer who is full of ideas, passionate about telling stories through visuals and has a broad technical and creative skillset with solid experience of leading projects from ideation to completion.

You will be a creative conceptual thinker with a minimum 2 years’ experience in a graphic design role, having worked in-house, freelance or for a creative agency. The ideal candidate enjoys diversity in their work and can work across print and digital media, in addition to having a portfolio bursting with expression and an awareness of contemporary design trends. The successful candidate will be a proficient user of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

The successful candidate will have:

• A strong understanding of Jewish community and life.

• Previous design experience.

• A portfolio of exceptional design work, primarily executed in Adobe Creative Cloud applications: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.

• A track record demonstrating strong organisational and time management skills, including creation of designs from inception to delivery.

• Strong knowledge of design for print production, design for digital media platforms and image manipulation.

• Good attention to detail.

• A creative flair and a passion for storytelling.

• The ability to follow brand guidelines in order to maintain a recognisable brand whilst also adapting to the latest design trends.

• The capability to handle pressure or last-minute requests and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. 

The ideal candidate has:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience working in graphic design or a similar field in a professional capacity.

• The ability to read and work with Hebrew type.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail with strong communication and language skills.

• Motion graphics and/or Product design experience.

• Experience using AI as a creative tool.

Personality / Experience
