Job Title: General Manager 

Reporting To: Managing Director

Contract: Full-Time

Location: Office-based in North London 

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

Due to exponential growth, JRoots is looking for a General Manager to manage and expand the organisation. The General Manager will be responsible for the continued growth and management of the business, developing the sales, penetrating new markets, developing new destinations, as well as managing the organisations procedures from initial enquiry through to the execution of the trip on the ground. This is a very exciting time to join JRoots as it embarks on unprecedented growth and seeks the right person to take the organisation to the next level. This is a full-time role based in our North London office.

 

The post holder will also need to have oversight of each department and line manage all JRoots staff whilst working closely with the Tour Operators to put together trips, manage and meet customer’s needs & expectations, and ensure each part of their tour is delivered.


Trip Management

The role includes managing logistics for all JRoots trips including:

 

Development

The General Manager will be tasked in supporting the development of a road map broken down per year of its objectives and expansion.

 

Team Management

The General Manager will be responsible for managing JRoots staff and includes managing upwards, delegating responsibilities and supervising their work to ensure the team members achieve their KPI’s in line with the objectives of the entire organisation. This will entail line managing a team of multiple Tour Operators, Guides, Sales Staff and any supporting roles; being responsible for their training and development and also providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance whilst ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are followed at all times.
